Travel from Prague to Křivoklát Castle. The mighty Křivoklát Castle is a National Cultural Monument with over 800 years of history as a royal palace and a state prison. During the 80-minute guided tour you will learn about its fascinating past and associated figures, including King Wenceslas, Charles IV, and the Furstenberg family. Highlights of the tour include the expensive Royal Chapel of the Coronation of the Virgin Mary with its stunning altar featuring the crowned Virgin Mary and the infamous Augustus’ prison and torture chamber with replicas of medieval torture instuments. You will also visit the gallery of Gothic art in the Knight’s Hall, the Stříbrnice treasury, the grand Gothic Royal Hall, and an impressive Library which houses 53 thousand volumes of books and manuscripts.

- Please note that it’s a public tour, so other participants may join your group in the Křivoklát Castle. Private tours can be arranged for groups larger than 15 people, however, due to the limited number of guides this cannot always be guaranteed.
- The guide service is not available during transfers. The driver will be able to answer your questions in Czech.
- The 4-hour option includes an estimated 2-hour round-trip transfer time between the castle and the accommodation address provided when booking.
