Start your trip with a road trip from Entebbe/Kampala or a place of your choice to Murchison falls nationals park for an exciting adventure in the best of Uganda’s savannah game reserve. You will have an enroute detour to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where the endangered white rhinos are protected. An hour in the company of these peaceful will be the starter of a long thrilling journey of discovering the gems of the pearl. Thereafter you will continue to Murchison falls for a visit to the Top of Falls and before heading the lodge for dinner and relaxation. Depending on the time available you could drive through the park to enjoy a short game drive.
You will start the day with a thrill of an early morning game drive. The drive starts at 6:30am and lasts about 3-4hrs as you explore and discover the wildlife and birds that inhabit the park. Some of the animals to expect include lions, elephants, buffalos, Uganda kobs, Warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, hartebeests, giant forest hogs and giraffes among many others. The park also offers colorful views of the numerous bird species that inhabit the savannah. After the game drive, you will settle for a brunch at the top of the falls or a bush breakfast in the honeymoon circuit. After the break, you will take a boat ride on the Nile to the bottom of the falls. The bottom ride offers great opportunities for sightseeing as the rainbow marks the sky. Many animals and birds flock this area in the heat of the day to quench their thirst and can be notably visible.
After breakfast at the lodge, you will have a short game drive through the park to catch sight of more wildlife. Thereafter you will continue southwards to Kibale Forest national park with lunch along the way. You will then check in to the lodge for dinner and then rest. Depending on your time of arrival, you would do a community walk or explore Bigodi Wetland sanctuary for a primate and birds experience.
You will rise early and head to the park headquarters at Kanyachu for the chimp trekking briefing where you will be assigned a ranger guide who will lead you into the forest in search of the chimpanzees. Kibale is known as a primate capital for the large populations of primates. . Once you find the chimpaNzees, you will be allowed to spend an hour of studying about them and taking pictures with them. In addition, you may have chances of sighting several beautiful birds, vervet, red and blue monkeys as you trek the forest. After the chimp adventure, you will head back to the lodge for lunch before taking the road to Queen Elizabeth national park. On arrival in Queen Elizabeth national park, you will take an afternoon boat ride on Kazinga channel depending on the time of arrival before checking into the lodge for dinner.
After breakfast at the lodge, embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park via Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park in search of tree climbing lions. In addition to this adventure, there are opportunities to see animals like elephants, buffalos and leopards and more. On arrival in Bwindi, you will check into the lodge, have dinner and rest in anticipation of an adventurous day ahead.
You will start the day with briefing at the park headquarters in the sector that was given to you. After the briefing, you will be assigned a ranger guide who will lead you on the journey in search of the gorillas. While trekking, you may spot some other primates like white and colobus monkeys, vervet, blue and red-tailed monkeys along with numerous bird species. Once you have spotted the gorillas, you will spend an hour with them learning about their behaviors and taking pictures. After the gorilla trekking, you will head to the lodge for lunch and then continue to Lake Bunyonyi.
After all the exciting activities, you will start on the journey back to Entebbe after having breakfast at the lodge. On the return journey, you will have a stopover for lunch in Mbarara and at the equator on Kayabwe for souvenir shopping. On arrival, you will be dropped off at the airport or have accommodation arranged for an overnight stay at an extra cost.
