This trip is majorly focused on those whose major goal is to track mountain gorillas and see animals in the savannah of Lake Mburo. The trip starts from Entebbe International Airport and ends in Entebbe. After gorilla tracking, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi where you could take a swim or boat trip to explore the surrounding communities.

    Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

    Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Today you will embark on a journey to the remote, beautiful and hilly south western Uganda. This long drive of between 8 to 9 hours is a rich experience to people who love road trips. Most of the road is paved but even for slightly uncomfortable parts, they get more adventurous with the beauty of rolling hill. As you go through the villages and gaze at locals, you will shocked to learn that you are already at the lodge.

    Gorilla tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

    Mabamba Swamp Shoebill Watching Entebbe

    After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get to be enlightened about your adventure with the Mountain Gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. At a cost of 15 US dollars, you can get a potter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. A rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. You will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi where you will take a swim in Uganda’s most beautiful lake or take a canoe to enjoy nature and explore surrounding communities.

    Transfer to Lake Mburo NP

    Lake Mburo National Park

    Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, Have a game drive on your way in. this is the smallest savannah park but heavily populated. Its gives good break from a gorilla safari or even a fresh start for a safari depending on the route plan of your Safari. As you drive through easy to see are Zebras, Impalas, Waterbucks and the list goes on. Please note that on a good day you can see a leopard but better still during the night game drive which can be arranged.

    Walking Safari and Transfer to Entebbe

    Lake Mburo National Park

    Today begins with coffee and a walking safari into the wild L. Mburo in search of wildlife. After the adventure, return to the Lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you will embark on your return journey. Lunch stop at the Equator and proceed to Entebbe to catch your flight.
