What to expect
Travel about 60 minutes by car from central Sapporo to enjoy smelt fishing in a quiet, private area with no crowds.
The smelt you catch can be cooked into fresh tempura on the spot.
Fishing takes place inside a warm tent, and your friendly guide will escort you throughout the experience, so you won’t need to worry about the cold.
