Egyptologists believe the Pyramid of Cheops (also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza) was built as a tomb for the Egyptian Pharaoh Khofo and constructed over a 14 to 20-year period in 2560 BC.

On top of the bucket list of millions of people all over the world is surely the visit to the Great pyramid of Giza and Sphinx. Midland Travel and Tours will bring your dream to reality. Your private Egyptologist guide will be happy to answer all your questions and explain all the history and the mystery of the pyramids. Listen to your guide talking about the Egyptian Pharaohs, gods, goddesses and mythology. Learn about the process of mummification. You will have full time to do some extra activities such as entry to the chambers (all upon your request for extra cost). Follow your guide steps to show the best spots for taking unique pictures, and then visit the Sphinx and the valley temple where you will learn the story of that massive statue and mummification.

2Great Sphinx
Colossal statues are one of the hallmarks of ancient Egyptian civilization, and the Great Sphinx of Giza is the most famous. It was carved directly out of the bedrock during the 4th Dynasty (c.2613–2494 BC), which also makes it the oldest. Ancient Egyptian sphinxes represented the king with the body of a lion, in a clear demonstration of his power.
