This tour is a fantastic way to see the Lake District from Manchester. Our fully organised Rail & Road tours are perfect for visitors who are short on time to visit the Lake Dist, see it's landscapes and learn about it's history and heritage from our local, knowledgeable driver guides. Your journey will begin at Manchester Piccadilly where you will board the train bound for Oxenholme at 09:26. Your return train will leave Oxenholme at 18:14 returning you to Manchester for 19:27.

    Catch the train from Manchester Piccadilly to Oxenholme. The train departs at 09.26, passengers MUST board the train in due time, the train will not wait for latecomers and will depart at exactly 09.26. This part of the tour is also unguided, passengers must make their own way to the train and embark without the assistance of a Mountain Goat representative. (Train ticket included in price.)

    You will meet a Mountain Goat representative here after your unguided train journey from Manchester to be taken to Windermere.
