What to expect

During the first 40 minutes, you will be transported to the Rímac district, one of Lima’s oldest and most traditional areas. Along the way, your heritage interpreter guide will share valuable insights about Peru’s Indigenous peoples, their native languages, and their deep cultural legacy.

Upon arrival, you will discover another side of Lima, learning about the migration and cultural resilience of Amazonian peoples who continue to preserve their identity in the capital.

We will visit the home workshop of a Shipibo-Konibo master artisan, who will open the doors of her home to share her life story and her spiritual connection with ancestral art. Here, we will spend most of our time learning and creating together as you make your own piece of Indigenous art, using the same traditional tools and techniques.

At the end of the visit, you will have the opportunity to purchase artwork directly from the artisan. This experience has a meaningful social and economic impact, strengthening Shipibo-Konibo culture and generating new income for more than 20 women artisans, helping to preserve and share their living heritage.
