What to expect

The day begins with our guide as we depart from the Thermaic Gulf, passing the internationally significant wetlands of Koronia and Volvi. Heading east, we follow a scenic route through the Castle of Rentina, We soon reach the Strymonian Gulf and, after passing the tourist village of Stavros, enter the Halkidiki region. Heading south, we follow the beautiful coastline of northeast Halkidiki, with a view of Kapros Island.
Our first stop is the Acropolis of Ancient Stagira, the birthplace of the renowned philosopher Aristotle, the teacher of Alexander the Great. After our guided tour, we continue to the small port of Ouranoupolis. From here, we set sail toward the southern tip of the Athos Peninsula, where the highest peak of Mount Athos stands at 2,033 meters. We then sail north along the western coast, getting a close view of this sacred area, which has been the center of Orthodox monastic life for centuries. After our return to port, you will have free time to relax with lunch or enjoy a swim in Ouranoupolis, while taking in the stunning views of the Singitic Gulf, Athos, and Sithonia Peninsulas.
