  Day 1: Arrival in Luxor & East Bank Tour Upon arrival at Luxor Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative, who will assist you and transfer you comfortably to your Nile Cruise for embarkation and check-in. After settling in, begin your afternoon tour of Luxor’s East Bank, starting with the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, one of the largest religious complexes ever built. Explore its monumental columns, sacred precincts, ancient chapels, and remarkable remains dedicated mainly to Amun-Ra, the chief god of ancient Thebes. Continue to the spectacular Luxor Temple, located in the heart of ancient Thebes. Built and expanded by several pharaohs, including Amenhotep III and Ramses II, the temple was dedicated to Amun-Ra and played an important role in the ancient Opet Festival.   Valley of the Kings

  Day 2: Luxor West Bank & Hot Air Balloon Start your morning with breakfast on board your Nile Cruise before exploring Luxor’s West Bank. Enjoy an optional hot air balloon ride in Luxor at sunrise, with breathtaking views of the Nile Valley,temples, and ancient monuments. Continue your Luxor West Bank tour with the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of New Kingdom pharaohs. Explore selected tombs decorated with colorful paintings, hieroglyphics, and scenes of ancient Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife. Visit the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, an architectural masterpiece built against the cliffs and dedicated to one of ancient Egypt’s most remarkable female rulers. Stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that once stood before his mortuary temple. Return to your Nile Cruise for lunch, relax as the cruise sails toward Edfu.   Temple of Horus

  Day 3: Edfu, Kom Ombo & Sailing to Aswan Enjoy breakfast on board your Nile Cruise before sailing toward Aswan. Your first stop is the magnificent Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient temples. Dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god of kingship and protection, it features impressive pylons, columns, reliefs, and inscriptions. Return to the Nile Cruise for lunch as you sail toward Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, visit the unique Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god associated with fertility and the Nile, and Haroeris (Horus the Elder), a powerful form of Horus. Return to the cruise and relax on the sun deck, enjoying spectacular views of the Nile Valley as you sail toward Aswan, following the river that sustained ancient Egyptian civilization for thousands of years.   Day 4: Aswan Tour – Philae Temple, High Dam & Unfinished Obelisk Enjoy breakfast on board your Nile Cruise before exploring Aswan, the jewel of the Nile, with your professional Egyptologist guide. Begin your Aswan tour with the impressive High Dam, one of Egypt’s most important modern engineering projects. Learn how it transformed water management and helped control the annual Nile floods. Next, board a motorboat to Agilika Island, home to the magnificent Temple of Philae, dedicated mainly to the goddess Isis. Admire its beautifully preserved Egyptian and Greco-Roman architecture. Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, a massive red-granite monument offering fascinating insight into ancient Egyptian stoneworking techniques. Discover why it was never completed.   Abu Simbel Temple Complex

  Day 5: Aswan & Optional Abu Simbel Temple Tour Enjoy breakfast on board your Nile Cruise and spend a relaxing morning in Aswan, or choose an unforgettable optional Abu Simbel tour. For guests joining the optional excursion, depart early morning by comfortable air-conditioned vehicle for Abu Simbel, located approximately 3 hours from Aswan. Discover the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples, built by Pharaoh Ramses II and considered among the most impressive monuments of ancient Egypt. Explore the Great Temple of Ramses II, famous for its four colossal statues carved into the mountainside, and the nearby Temple of Queen Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Your Egyptologist guide will explain the fascinating history of the temples and their remarkable relocation project to protect them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.
