    Amboseli is world-renowned for its large, free-ranging herds of elephants. Visitors can see these majestic animals up close, often against the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, Lions, Cheetahs, Hyenas, Giraffes, Zebras, Wildebeest, Buffalo, Hippos and Many species of antelope and gazelle. On clear days, you’ll enjoy picture-perfect views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, just across the border in Tanzania. Sunrise and sunset offer the most breathtaking views. Amboseli is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 400 bird species recorded — from flamingos and pelicans to birds of prey and colorful songbirds.
