This tour is guided by our official tourism guide, certified by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism and who has a bachelor's degree in Architecture. Our tour has a cultural approach to understand how the different communities settled in Peru behaved 5000 years ago. We will learn about their beliefs and the art that they left us.
Peru has a history of around 5000 years, and believe it or not, in the city of Lima alone you can find more than 200 archaeological sites including pyramids and citadels. These, with the passage of time, have been camouflaged and hidden among the modern streets of the city of Lima. On this tour you will have the opportunity to visit one of our most important pyramids located in the heart of the Miraflores district. We will walk through its different terraces learning about its history and architecture. Our goal is to reach the top of the pyramid to appreciate the different panoramic views of the city of Lima.
Later, we will go to the Larco Museum, a museum that, in 2017, entered the list of the 25 Best Museums in the World made by Trip Advisor. The Larco-Hoyle family has collected more than 45,000 pieces of ceramics and textiles from the different cultures that developed in ancient Peru and now exhibits a portion of them in the museum located in the Pueblo Libre district. It is also important to mention that this is one of the first museums in the world to allow access to its storage. After the tour, we will give you free time to visit the warehouse with around 30,000 ceramics and also to take a look at the Erotic Gallery (linked with reproduction, the incessant regeneration of life and mother earth). Depending on the time we start the tour, we can have lunch or dinner at Café Larco located in the magnificent gardens of the museum. Get ready to taste Peruvian food!
