After arriving at BaseCamp, we begin our trek through an awe-inspiring desert plateau, flanked by the vast glaciers Langjökull and Hofsjökull. This is raw Icelandic wilderness at its finest—open horizons, dramatic silence, and breathtaking views stretching for miles in every direction. The trail gradually winds through gentle hills, leading us deeper into this remote region until we reach Hveradalir, one of the most surreal geothermal valleys in Iceland. Here, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped onto another planet. We’ll follow a scenic loop trail that reveals steaming vents, bubbling hot springs, and vividly colored rhyolite mountains in orange and brown hues. Even in summer, snow lingers on the peaks, creating a striking contrast with the warm geothermal activity around you.
