Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to explore the underwater world.
One of the best parts of scuba diving is the feeling of weightlessness.
Scuba divers can fly up, down, left and right. The weightlessness of scuba diving is one of the most freeing sensations in the world.
Divers can move easily in three dimensions.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
You can drive to Caldera beach, Akrotiri. There is a parking area down by the tavern. Also you can take the bus from Fira bus station at 08:30 to Akrotiri. Get off at the bus stop Kokkinos Villas and walk down to the beach. Send us first name, height, weight and shoe size.
What to expect
The Discover Scuba Program starts at 10:00 or 13:00 from our dive station on the beach, where one of our qualified instructors will teach you the basic scuba principles, the important underwater hand signals and how to use the equipment.
This briefing takes about 20 minutes, and then you would get into wetsuits and equipment, and walk into the water right off the beach.
You would stop in shallow water (about waist deep) and bend down to take your first breaths underwater!
Once you're comfortable with breathing using the scuba equipment you would go with the instructor underwater for a guided dive to the nearby reef and you will have the chance to play with the fish.
You would be underwater for around 35 minutes in total.
Total duration 2 hours. In order to arrange your holidays, you must know that after one dive it is not recommended to take a plane for 12h.
