This comprehensive 3D/2N private tour will take you to Uganda's main attractions east of Kampala: Jinja with the mighty Nile River's Busowoko Falls and its legendary source, Sipi Falls at the foot of Mount Elgon with the famous waterfalls and the long-standing coffee growing tradition, and Mbale where Wanale Hill is located, awaiting discovery by tourists like you. Unlike some other tour operators, your guide will be be a local who expertly knows the region where he lives. While we're offering the services as described here, we can flexibly adjust to your preferences when it comes to the kind of hiking experience that you prefer, and we give you free time in Jinja in case you want to see or do more.

We shall pick you at Entebbe airport or any place of your accomodation in Entebbe or Kampala.
After morning pick-up at Entebbe airport or at your hotel (Kampala or Entebbe) by our representative/guide you'll be driven to Jinja, a journey that takes about 2.5-3 hours, so please ask your hotel to supply packed breakfast if they cannot serve breakfast before your pickup. Upon reaching the Jinja area your first highlight will be Ziplining and thereafter we shall visit the Nile River's spectacular Busowoko Falls, a great place for pictures or even dipping into the water! Note: If Ziplining is not your thing, feel free to discuss with us what alternative activities are available (Jinja has many), we'll make sure that it'll be a good fit to your expectations.
You will have lunch in Jinja town and we shall also visit craft shops which are adjacent to the restaurant. Next you'll have a couple of hours of free time in Jinja. We can drop you near the famous Source of the Nile where some guests opt to book a short cruise with local operators (own expense). Then we'll drive to Mbale where we shall arrive in the evening. Check in at Casa Lodge or a similar hotel, have dinner and overnight.
After our early breakfast we'll drive to Sipi Falls, overlooking Sironko, and enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Elgon (4300m); the drive takes ~1.5 hours. Then we start our hike. You can choose between a short or longer route to the waterfalls through fruit plantations and villages. One waterfall is perfect for taking a quick natural shower, and you can even enjoy a cold swim. The longer version of the hike of approximately five hours (also included, but you can advise us of your preferences and level of fitness) will allow you to see all three waterfalls, a cave and the most beautiful scenery, passing through plenty of villages and fruit and coffee plantations. Whichever hike we choose today, it will be a beautiful day in paradise. We shall come back to town for (possibly late) lunch, relax a bit, and go for an insightful coffee tour where you will participate in the coffee making experience in a nearby village. Then we'll drive back to our Mbale lodge for dinner and overnight.
In the vicinity of Mbale a hidden gem of Uganda's Eastern Region is located: Wanale Hill, a steep cliff actually visible from town, boasting moderate to challenging hikes with spectacular views and thunderous waterfalls. Our 3-4 hour hike, after breakfast, will take us to the top of the main waterfall, and once you're there, you'll feel like being at the top of the world. During the hike expect to see three waterfalls, a natural swimming pool (don't forget to carry swimming gear if you like to take a dip), lush vegetation, and more. After the hike we'll take lunch at the Mbale lodge and then drive back to Kampala or Entebbe where you will be dropped.
