Located about 225 km (139 miles) from Amman, Petra was carved into rose-colored rock over 2,000 years ago along ancient trade routes. Explore Petra’s highlights, including ancient streets, dams, and water channels. Walk through the dramatic Siq before reaching the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh). Continue to landmarks such as the Monastery (Ad-Deir) and the Altar of Sacrifice, offering stunning views. In the afternoon, continue to the breathtaking desert of Wadi Rum, the Valley of the Moon, known for its vast landscapes and cinematic scenery.
