Our accredited tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, the Airport or residence. You'll have a short briefing then commence the drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve via the great rift valley view point, you'll have have a stop over for breathtaking view of the floor of the Great rift valley. Masai Mara is a wildlife reserve in the southwestern Kenya, contiguous with the Tanzania Serengeti National Park. It is renowned for its abundant wildlife and is part of the larger Serengeti ecosystem. Arrive at Masai Mara Game Reserve in time for Lunch. After lunch you will relax in anticipation of the afternoon game drive that will take place until late. Some of the wildlife that you are likely to spot include the Big five (Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhino & Buffalo) Zebra, Cheetah, Giraffe, Impala & much more including plenty of bird life. Return back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
At dawn a full day game drive at the Masai Mara Game Reserve begins. We'll be on the look out for the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino & Buffalo) Large mammals such as Buffalo, Eland, Masai Giraffe are easy to see. Other animals include Waterbuck, Impala, Warthog, Hyena, Hyrax, Giraffe, Grants Gazelle and over 400 species of birds. Masai Mara Game reserve is perhaps where the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place; The Great Wildebeest Migration (July-October). The annual migration includes millions of wildebeest and zebras migrating from the Serengeti in search of water and pastures while the predators; Hippos and Crocodiles wait, creating a spectacular scene. To spice up the experience you can enjoy an optional early morning hot air balloon ride over the plains of Masai Mara Game Reserve. You could also engage in an optional Cultural visit at a Maasai village to learn about the Maasai culture & engage with the local community.
On this day you will have an optional hot air balloon ride with a picnic breakfast, If you're not engaging in the activity you'll have breakfast at your lodge. Optional Masai Village visit can also be arranged this morning. Depart Masai Mara by road back to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon.
