2Devin Castle
We arrive at the dramatic ruins of Devin Castle, standing on a high cliff at the confluence of the Danube and Morava rivers. We go inside to explore the archaeological site, which holds secrets from the times of the Great Moravian Empire to the Napoleonic wars. Your guide will take you to the "Gate of Freedom" memorial at the foot of the castle, marking the exact spot of the Iron Curtain where the East was separated from the West. From the upper terraces, you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of three countries: Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary. Before leaving, if you wish, there is an opportunity to taste the local currant wine (Ribezlak), a sweet specialty of this specific region.

3Bratislava Castle
Next, we drive into the capital city, Bratislava. Thanks to your private driver, we head directly to the top of the Castle Hill, avoiding the steep hike that other tourists have to make. We stay outside the castle to admire the imposing baroque architecture and learn about its role as a residence for Empress Maria Theresa. The castle terrace offers the best panoramic view over the Danube, the iconic UFO bridge, and the vast Petržalka district—the largest concrete housing estate in Central Europe. 4Bratislava Old Town
We walk down from the castle hill into the pedestrian Old Town for an immersive walking tour. You will see St. Martin’s Cathedral, pass through the medieval Michael’s Gate, and admire the elegant Main Square. Keep an eye out for the whimsical bronze statues like "Cumil" the sewer worker.
