The Historical Museum and the Natural History Museum are two of Vienna's most iconic museums. Both were built during the reign of Maria Theresia, and their collections were mainly assembled by her husband, Francis Stephan. The Kunsthistorisches Museum houses one of the world's finest art collections with masterpieces by artists such as Titian and Rembrandt. The Museum of Natural History has an extensive collection of scientific specimens, including an extensive collection of minerals and fossils. The Church of St. Augustine has been the site of many Habsburg weddings and funerals over the centuries. Empress Maria Theresia and Franz Stephan of Lorraine, Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth, popularly known as Sissi, were married here.
