The Safari explores Samburu Game Reserve located in what used to be called the Northern Frontier District. The reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals unique to the park. Sweet waters/Ol Pejeta Conservancy is East Africa’s Largest Black Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees. Game drives at Sweet waters are indeed a pleasure.

We’ll rise early to enjoy the morning light and first stirrings of wildlife upon the grasslands here. After breakfast, we’ll take a final game drive through the sanctuary and we’re off to Samburu Park. This will be an easy and picturesque drive over the Kenya highlands, and we’ll pass through several climate zones on our way north. We’ll arrive at Samburu Park and its lifeblood, the Ewaso Nyiro River, providing the wildlife with its life-sustaining waters. Dinner and overnight at the lodge Here at the river, we will look for lion, buffalo, elephant, and even hippo.
After breakfast, morning and afternoon game drive with picnic lunch, exploring this amazing game reserve, we have concentration of the Its home to the big five, Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo, Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, Gravy Zebra, Besia Oryx, Endangered Wild Dog as well as Pun cake Tortoise – Endangered. There are over 450 species of birds identified and aquatic species in the Waso Nyiro River including, vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches and others. Bird life is as plentiful as wildlife at Samburu National Reserve, which boasts over 350 different species of birds including vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches and others. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
It’s our final safari morning so we’re up early to pack. Perhaps we’ll come upon a final elephant or roaming big cat. Anything is possible here. We’ll enjoy a safari breakfast surrounded by the wonders nature has provided. Then it’s time to proceed back to Nairobi, through the highlands, passing imposing Mt. Kenya. We should be back in Nairobi around 16:30 hrs. Drop off at the nairobi hotel or airport depending on your flight
