What to expect
Learn to dive on the beautiful Gold Coast with this internationally recognized SSI Open Water Diver Certification Course. Over three days, you'll gain the skills, confidence, and certification to explore the underwater world up to 18 metres deep.
Start with 5–6 hours of flexible online learning at home before arriving. On Day 1, meet your instructor for a classroom review, final exam, and your first hands-on skills session in the pool. Then, over two exciting days of ocean diving, you'll complete four open water dives at local dive sites—starting at 12 metres and progressing to 18 metres.
Your professional SSI instructor will guide you every step of the way as you learn how to use scuba gear, communicate underwater, manage buoyancy, and dive safely with a buddy. By the end, you’ll not only be certified but also ready for a lifetime of adventure beneath the surface.
Whether you’re starting your diving journey or planning future dive trips around the world, this course is your passport to the ocean!

- If you’re over 45 or have any pre-existing medical conditions, you’ll need an AS4005.1 dive medical (valid for one year)
- Be at least 10 years old
- Be able to swim 200m and float for 10 minutes
