These subterranean waters are home to Garra Barreimiae, a rare species of blind fish. A treasure chest of biodiversity, the cave is also hosts a myriad of creatures including mouse tail bats, hunting spiders, Arabian toads, wadi racer snakes and more. The only underground attraction of its kind in the Arabian Peninsula, Al Hoota has been developed and is responsibly managed to showcase and share the wonders of Oman’s nature with the public. Misfat al Abreyeen

Misfat Al Abriyeen is a unique mountainous village located 1,000 m above sea level on the mountain foothills surrounding wilayat Al Hamra in Al Dhakhiyla Governorate. The village derives its name from the Al Abri tribe, who originally come from Misfat Al Abriyeen and Al Hamra. Many villagers of Misfat Al Abriyeen rely on the agricultural terraces for their livelihood, where bananas, pomegranates, papayas, mangoes, citrus trees and of course palm trees are grown. We will get get to see the following: 1. Falaj: The oldest water channels in the area, dating back over 1,000 years 2. Farms: Archaeological evidence shows that these irrigation systems were designed to irrigate farmlands as early as 2,500 BC. 3. Cafe: We will also enjoy a cup of coffee at the middle of the farms from a coffeeshop called "Rogan" - Inclusive.

    Bait Al Safah

If you're not aware of Bait Al Safah yet, it's one of the first living museums in the country that allows you proper interaction with the locals. It's a sustainably renovated mud house right at the edge of Al Hamra's lush gardens and what is amazing about this attraction is how everything is kept as they were that a visit to its many rooms is like entering a time capsule.
