The impressive area of Paleokastritsa, the most popular and picturesque spot on the island, with crystal blue waters and beautiful rocky coves. Visit the 13th-century Orthodox monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary. From here, the view of the beach and the coastline is wonderful.
Driving through olive groves, we ascend the mountain to reach Lakones, the village with the enchanting view towards Paleokastritsa and western Corfu. Here, you'll find the location Bella Vista, which Lawrence Durrell described as having the most spectacular view in the Mediterranean. Stop for a break, enjoying the magnificent view. Continuing our journey on the western side of the mountain, we will encounter the Angelokastro, the Byzantine castle from the 13th century, situated on a rugged hill.
