Late in the afternoon, stop at Kom Ombo city where to visit the unique double temple of Sobek, the crocodile God and Horus, the falcon God. Return to the cruise and have dinner followed by folkloric party operated by the cruise staff and tour guides. Continue sailing to Aswan for overnight.
Around 4 to 4:30 am, your guide will pick you up for Abu Simbel trip (sharing a group in a bus or minibus), drive for about 3 hours to visit one of the most impressive places in Egypt; the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel with their unique design built for King Ramesses 2nd and his beloved Queen Nefertari. Get back to the cruise around 2 to 2:30 pm to have your lunch and get ready for the fantastic trip in nature to the Nubian Village.
You will be picked-up around 3:30 to 4:00 pm down to the Nile to take a motorboat, sailing slowly to enjoy the scenery and views to the Nubian Village on Soheil Island, have a welcome drink in one of the Nubian families houses, talk to them, know about their customs, walk around the village with your guide. Finish by sunset, enjoy the breeze and watch the birds while going back to your cruise. Time for dinner, and the folkloric Nubian Show. Overnight in Aswan.
After breakfast, check out and discover with your guide the highlights of Aswan, listen to the story of the Nubian immigration. Start your tour by visiting the High Dam; achieved in 1960 to protect Egypt from the flood and generate electric. The Dam provides a huge water reservoir known as Lake Nasser, one of the biggest artificial lakes in the world. At this landmark, you will see the huge hydro-power stations that provide Egypt with 10 percent of its electricity.
Proceed to visit the Graeco Roman Temple dedicated to goddess Isis using a small motorboat to get there. The temple was relocated to its current location by UNESCO after the building of the High Dam in order to prevent its inundation. The island was carefully selected to match the original settings on which the temple was originally built. Enjoy free time to explore the beauty of the temple and its surroundings.
Later on, you will be transferred to your Aswan Hotel/Airport or Railway station.
