We finish our tour right on Old Town Square, in the very heart of Prague. From here, you’re perfectly placed to continue exploring—whether that means restaurants, shopping streets, river views, or your next adventure. I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
Strahov Monastery – Where Books Became Artillery Our journey begins high above Prague at the majestic Strahov Monastery. From the outside, we uncover the secrets of one of Europe’s most precious libraries—protected not by armies but by the devotion of monks. Learn how manuscripts became more powerful than gunpowder and why the Philosophical Hall remains one of the most breathtaking achievements of the written world.
Hradčany & Loretánská Street – A Saint, A Sinner & A Fiery Legend We follow the ancient Royal Route just as coronation processions once did. Along Loretánská Street, we reveal the story of St. Barbara and the dramatic legend of the pagan princess Drahomíra, swallowed by the earth itself as divine punishment. We admire the stunning Baroque beauty of Loreta and notice a small but striking detail—a cannonball lodged in the wall of the Capuchin Monastery, a silent witness to the shelling of Prague.
Hradčany Town Hall – Where Cheating Was Measured in the 1500s Here, medieval markets burst back to life as we explore how shoppers ensured fair trade, the great fire that reshaped the district, and the arrival of Emperor Rudolf II. His move to Prague transformed the area into a playground for alchemists, artists, and mystics. Between grand palaces, we tell the curious story of a local mummy known as Maria Electa.
Prague Castle – Power, Intrigue & Imperial Ambition Without entering the crowds inside, the Castle reveals its story from the outside: from the wooden fort built by Duke Bořivoj to the five-century construction of St. Vitus Cathedral, to the imperial dreams of Charles IV and the eccentric genius of Rudolf II.
Nerudova Street – Poets, Painters & Revolutionaries We descend this picturesque slope once home to artists and intellectuals. House signs tell stories from a time before literacy, while noble families hid decidedly less noble secrets. The street carries the poetic soul of Prague and the revolutionary sparks that changed its future.
Charles Bridge – A View Through the Centuries At Charles Bridge, we stop to take in the classic view of Prague. The bridge has witnessed battles, floods, and celebrations over the centuries, and its statues and structure quietly reflect the city’s long and eventful history.
Old Town Square – The Historic Heart of Prague We end our journey in Old Town Square, a place shaped by executions, revolutions, and public gatherings. Standing beneath the Astronomical Clock (even if not performing), we explore the story, rivalry, and craftsmanship behind one of Europe’s most recognizable landmarks.
