The journey to Cape Sounio takes you outward from Athens through the upscale, seaside neighborhoods that have earned the area the nickname, “the Athens Riviera.”
The coast is lined with fish tavernas and luxurious, resort-style beaches along with wild, rocky terrain that brings to mind epic tales of heroes and monsters, culminating with our destination: the ancient temple of Poseidon. This trip includes a visit to Lake Vouliagmeni and Varkiza with optional time for swimming or sunbathing.

Drive the coastline to ancient site of Sounio Visit the Temple of Poseidon of the 5th century BC. at the edge of cape Sounion. Enjoy and incredible sunset, if you take the late departure A temple that apart from the historic importance, combine the endless blue Aegean sea, the blue sky and an amazing view. Drive back to Athens (1.5 hr)
