It is time to visit Old Shali fortress of Siwa. Origins. Shali Fortress is centuries old and the original construction dates back to as early as the 12th and 13th centuries. It was built from a type of mud-brick called Kershef (a material formed by mixing clay, salt and rock) by local Siwis who inhabited the oasis at the time.
We will return to Cairo with two stops in the rest houses, and the journey takes about 9 hours to reach Cairo
