  Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids

  First, Pick Up from Requested Location by your Tour guide to start your Journey across the three ancient necropolises. The tour will start by visiting the Saqqara necropolis, where you will visit the Pyramid of Djoser. This pyramid is the earliest colossal stone building in the world. This structure is a fundamental part of the Egyptian history as other pyramids was based on it with improvements. The pyramids at Giza and elsewhere in the desert near Cairo are a part of the legacy of an older city and civilization that fell into decline long before Cairo was founded. This civilization named this area Memphis, which was the seat of power to the Old Kingdom (2686—2181 BC) of Ancient Egypt, home to the pharaohs that raised the pyramids.

  Saqqara is one of several other notable necropolis sites near Cairo that offer impressive sights and hold great archaeological significance. In fact, Saqqara may hold more interest to archaeologists than Giza. The huge site hosts burials dating from before the beginning of the Old Kingdom up through the Greek Period of Egyptian history. The most famous structure by far at Saqqara is Djoser’s Step Pyramid. Dating from the 3rd dynasty (2667—2448 BC), it was the first all-stone complex ever built on earth. It also displays an important architectural innovation for the construction of the Giza Pyramids and other later pyramids in the 4th dynasty and later. Djoser’s pyramid was the first to use multiple mastabas (rectangular tomb structures) stacked on top of one another to form a step pyramid.This construction set the stage for the smooth sides of the Giza Pyramids and the smaller 5th and 6th dynasty pyramids that are found at Saqqara and other sites nearby, such as Dahshur and Abu Sir.

  Step Pyramid of Djoser

  The oldest stone structure in the entire world is the step pyramid of king Djoser dates back to 2670 BC ,The pyramid is a part from huge complex (Colonnaded Entrance -Sed Festival complex- Enclosure wall , North and south Pavilions ,Southern Tomb and thousand of tombs around ) With your advanced tour guide you will know a a lot more about king Djoser, his talented architect Imhotep and the new discoveries in Saqqara. (Please note that entering the pyramid or the southern tomb needs special ticket) guide will be happy to assist.

  Pyramids of Dahshour

  Then after Lunch, the tour continues by a visit to Dahshur Pyramids (Red and Bent Pyramids), which were a huge step and learning experience for Ancient Egyptians to switch from step-sided pyramids to smooth-sided pyramids. Dahshur has multiple pyramids, but the most famous two are Red and Bent Pyramids and re are among the oldest, largest and best preserved in Egypt, built from 2613–2589 BC. (Time spent in each place is flexible according to the customers)

  Also called the north pyramid, considered the first classic been built in the ancient Egyptian history, we call it red because of it's reddish limestone which is been quarried from Tura Mountains in Cairo . possibility to enter the pyramid for free !! A unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt, this was the second pyramid built by Sneferu. considered the only pyramid in Egypt still has the outer layer on it and still in good condition , you will have the chance to enter that pyramid as well ,it is open from inside now .( Please if you are claustrophobic or suffering from any health problem do not enter ) this one is very challenging and you must be fit .

  Bent Pyramid

  A unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt, this was the second pyramid built by Sneferu. considered the only pyramid in Egypt still has the outer layer on it and still in good condition , you will have the chance to enter that pyramid as well ,it is open from inside now .( Please if you are claustrophobic or suffering from any health problem do not enter ) this one is very challenging and you must be fit .

  Memphis and Sakkara

  Then, the tour continues by visiting the city that once was the ancient Capital of Egypt, Memphis city. This city holds both the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx and lots of ruins around. Memphis city was the center of power to the Old Kingdom (2686 BC) of Ancient Egypt, and the home to the pharaohs that raised the pyramids.

  Mit Rahina Museum

  Special Museum for the very famous Statue for King Ramesses the great 1279 BC. A huge limestone statue in amazing condition .Ramesses the great ruled the Egyptian empire for about 67 Years .

• The Sphinx of Memphis (Pass by)

  The Sphinx of Memphis is a stone sphinx located near the remains of Memphis, Egypt. The statue made out from the Egyptian Alabaster , still in Avery good condition may be representing the very famous queen Hatshepsut 1479 BC. then you will start your journey back to your hotel.
