Fjallabak Nature Reserve
After visiting Landmannalaugar it’s time to hit the road again, and not a generic road but the F208: a remote, unpaved road that runs from Landmannalaugar to Kirkjubæjarklaustur. This off-road is approximately 90 kilometers long and takes us through some of the most rugged and beautiful terrain in Iceland, including glaciers, mountains, and volcanic landscapes. Travelers on the F208 should be prepared for rough road conditions, changing weather patterns, and limited services, as the road passes through some of the most remote areas of Iceland.
