Krakow’s Old Town is a designated pedestrian-only zone. If your hotel is located within this area, I will meet you directly in your hotel lobby and we will begin our walk from there.
A guide will have a badge with official Krakow Guide license and plate. He will have a white card with your name written on it.
We begin at the spiritual heart of Poland. You will visit the Wawel Cathedral (Royal tombs and the Sigismund Bell) and the breathtaking Renaissance Courtyard of the Royal Castle. This is where the history of Polish Kings comes to life.
A relaxed walk down the Royal Route (Kanonicza and Grodzka streets). We stop at the Dominican Cloisters—a 13th-century Gothic oasis of silence. It’s the perfect spot to "read" the city’s oldest stones away from the crowds.
To maintain a refined pace, we pause at a selected historic cafe in the Old Town. It’s an opportunity to rest and discuss Polish culture over a cup of coffee in a 19th-century setting.
We explore the Gothic courtyard of the oldest university building in Poland. You’ll stand where Copernicus studied and feel the intellectual atmosphere of the Jagiellonian University's Golden Age.
We will climb the Town Hall Tower for a private-feel panorama of Krakow to see the city from a different perspective.
We conclude at Europe's largest medieval square. You will admire the Veit Stoss Altarpiece in St. Mary’s Basilica and listen to the city bugle call.
