As one of the oldest settlements on the island, this is where you'll experience a slice of authentic Mykonian life. Take a leisurely stroll around the quaint village square and visit the magnificent Panagia Tourliani Monastery, a 16th-century historical and religious landmark. The construction was established in 1542 by two priests and named after the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The monastery was restored in 1767 and owes its present name to an icon of the Virgin Mary found in the nearby area of Tourlos. Since then, Panagia Tourliani is the tutelary of the island and celebrates on August 15th.
