This tour through the Oriente subregion of Antioquia is one of a kind. You will stop at three of the main colonial towns in this subregion, which were known to have been occupied by Spanish conquistadors in the 1700's. Our guides speak perfect English and know the history of each place that you will visit. There will be opportunities to shop for souvenirs and to take some excellent pictures throughout the tour.     Our first stop is in the town of Rionegro, where we will explore the museum of La Casa De La Convencion. This museum is a house who's construction and colonial architecture dates back to when the Spanish still controlled Colombia. There are many important documents in this museum including one of Colombia''s very first constitutions. You will learn some of the history of this region during this stop.

    San Antonio de Pereira is a town also within the Oriente sub region of Antioquia. Here you will see more of the colonial architecture that dates back to the 1700's, and experience what life is like in a typical Colombian town. The main square contains the beautiful San Antonio De Pereira church which is the main attraction within this town. We will walk around and explore and take pictures here. San Antonio De Pereira is very famous all around the country for its desserts. We will stop at the most famous spot for desserts and be able to try them. One dessert is included for each person in the booking.

    Since the Spanish conquistadors occupied the whole area we are visiting, you will see the influences by them that were left in this town. El Retiro is an extremely beautiful place to walk around and feel the true Colombian culture. Here we will stop for a coffee (included in tour) that is made to perfection and walk around the whole town. Their will be many photo opportunities and shops to stop at for souvenirs and Colombian snacks.
