Enter some of the beautifully decorated royal tombs—some still vivid with color after thousands of years. (Optional visit to King Tutankhamun’s tomb available.)
Next, explore the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a striking monument carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Learn about this powerful female pharaoh and her unique reign.
Stop for photos at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Amenhotep III that have stood guard for over 3,400 years.

Return to the ship and continue sailing to Kom Ombo, where you’ll explore the unusual double temple dedicated to two gods—Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder, the falcon god. Learn about the unique dual design and visit the on-site Crocodile Museum, where mummified crocodiles are on display.
Back onboard, enjoy lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner as you cruise toward Aswan. Evening entertainment may include a traditional Galabeya Party onboard. Overnight on the cruise in Aswan.

Then take a short boat ride to Philae Temple, one of Egypt’s most picturesque temples, dedicated to Isis, the goddess of magic and motherhood. Learn how this beautiful complex was saved from flooding and relocated to Agilkia Island.
Next, visit the Unfinished Obelisk, an enormous ancient monument left incomplete in the stone quarries. Marvel at its size and gain insight into ancient stone-cutting techniques.
