We then continue to the remarkable Deir el-Medina, the ancient village of the artisans who built the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Wander through the well-preserved streets, homes, and workshops to see how these skilled workers lived and worked. Explore the Temple of Hathor, dedicated to the goddess of joy and music, which served as a spiritual center for the village. During your visit, you will explore the tombs of the artisans: Tombs included in the standard ticket (EGP 220): • TT1 – Sennedjem’s Tomb: Known for vivid wall paintings depicting the afterlife and offerings. • TT359 – Inherkhau’s Tomb: Features scenes of family life and the duties of tomb workers. • TT218, TT219 & TT220 – Family Tomb: Shared by multiple family members, with intricate decorations highlighting their roles. Optional tomb with extra ticket (EGP 120): • TT3 – Pashado’s Tomb: Renowned for its detailed decorations and depictions of the artisan’s life.
After that, discover the monumental mortuary temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu Temple. Marvel at towering pylons, intricately carved reliefs, and inscriptions depicting military victories, religious rituals, and the glory of one of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs. Entrance Ticket: EGP 220.
