This ancient Egyptian mortuary temple, constructed for the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut, is situated in Upper Egypt. Positioned beneath the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari on the western bank of the Nile, it is in close proximity to the Valley of the Kings.
