The Montego Bay Cultural Centre offers the most comprehensive historical, cultural and artistic exhibitions in a Cultural Centre which is itself an historic site dating back to the early 19th Century. It houses the National Museum West’s ‘permanent ‘ and ‘moving’ museums, the National Gallery West that exhibits the works of Jamaica’s iconic and contemporary painters, photographers and sculptors and the ‘Freedom Monument’, a tribute to slaves that fought in the rebellion. It offers in addition a courtyard - outdoor seating area, Gift and Logo Shop with authentic Jamaican art and craft as well as a Bistro which offers world class authentic Jamaican cuisine.
St James Parish Church, Jamaica is an eighteenth century church in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It was started in 1774 at a time when the town was increasing in importance as a centre for trade and the number of merchants was growing. This tour is short and will give history on the church and it's members
