This is a private tour to the TOTUMO VOLCANO, It is an attractive and popular place for being full of medicinal mud. Its inhabitants claim that it is healing thanks to its components, such as water, silica, aluminum, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron and other minerals. According to testimonies from residents and visitors, it has therapeutic properties, leaving a positive appearance on the skin and relieving muscle and joint pains. In summer, the volume of mud in the volcanic cone decreases; in winter, due to the swamp next to the volcano, it fills to overflow. With a duration of approximately 1 hour on the volcano, the entrance and immersion in the attraction have a maximum duration of 15 to 30 minutes. Massages, drinks, photos (with personal mobile devices) and a bath with a pumpkin in the swamp are offered on site, by a native who takes care of removing the mud from the people. Payment for these services is voluntary. We're going back to town.

    In Colombia there are two mud volcanoes: one located in Arboletes, Antioquia, and another in the rural area of the municipality of Santa Catalina, near Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, next to the Totumo reservoir. The latter is our attraction for this activity. It is an attractive and popular place for being full of medicinal sludge. Its inhabitants claim that it is healing thanks to its components, such as water, silica, aluminum, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron and other minerals.
