Departing Windhoek, we travel to our lodge in the Namib Desert. This is the gateway to Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, where some of the highest sand dunes on Earth stand towering over the white desert plains. The afternoon can be spent relaxing at the pool, or taking part in optional activities offered at the lodge.
Today with your guide and vehicle we visit Sossusvlei, one of Namibia’s most famous attractions. The towering sand dunes (up to 325 meters high) are at their most beautiful in the early morning so we set out early to see the colour transformation of the dunes at its best. On our way back we will visit Sesriem Canyon where the Tsauchab River has exposed millions of years of geological history.
Today we drive through the Namib Naukluft Park, the third largest game reserve in Africa and one of the largest in the world. We pass through the Kuiseb Canyon and arrive in Walvis Bay during lunch time. We can stop anywhere en-route for pictures, but otherwise just drive straight to Walvis Bay. The rest of the day at leisure. You can explore town of Swakopmund, visit souvenir shops or enjoy the beach.
A day of optional activities in Swakopmund. You may decide to explore the town with its spectacular German colonial-style architecture, the lighthouse and the Kristal Galleries where you can see the largest known crystal cluster. There are also opportunities to go quad biking, sand boarding or enjoy a dolphin cruise.
After breakfast we depart for Damaraland, a land of contrasts with majestic flat-topped mountains, deep gorges and plains stretching as far as the eye can see. This harsh, rocky environment is home to the rare desert elephant, the black rhino and free- roaming antelope species. We will drive this 3 hour drive through Damaraland without stopping, viewing the beauty of this land from the car, but if you have a desire we can stop for pictures or to stretch. After arriving to your lodge, you can relax by the pool or take optional activities, such as game drive or guided hike.
Today we visit to Twyfelfontein, a heritage site where Bushman communities engraved and painted over 2500 pictures some 6000 years ago! Close by we explore the Burnt Mountain, Organ Pipes and Traditional Damara PeopleVillage.

On the way we visit Petrified Forest - all geological phenomena’s depicting the creation and evolution of some of the oldest landmasses on Earth. Here we also visit the Welwitschia mirabilis plant – the oldest living desert plant on Earth. In the afternoon you can part take in optional game drive in the park.
