Iquitos
-Pick-up and transfer to the city of Nauta. -Then we will begin navigation along one of the main tributaries of the world’s largest river, the Marañón River, aboard comfortable and safe traditional boats. The journey along the Marañón River will allow you to appreciate a wonderful panorama where the river’s magnificence carves its way through the lush jungle. Travel time: approximately 3 hours. During the journey, you may spot pink and gray dolphins (“bufeos”) as well as various types of birds.

-Lunch on board. -We will then arrive at the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, where we will stop to collect our entry permits for the reserve.

- BASE CAMP: BUENOS AIRES :We will arrive at the camp, where a brief explanation will be given about the rules that govern the sustainability of the site and its surroundings, helping you understand how to make your stay within the NATIONAL RESERVE more enjoyable. -Visit around the refuge.

-AMAZONIAN SUNRISE: Observation of this and exotic birds: During the early morning hours, it’s the ideal time to observe many species of birds feeding along the riverbanks, as well as to witness the majestic sunrise over the national reserve marking the start of a new day. -Breakfast at the camp.

-WILDLIFE SEARCH -SWIMMING IN THE MARAÑÓN RIVER: After enjoying the beautiful wildlife within the reserve, we will prepare to head out and enjoy the refreshing waters of the Marañón River, swimming very close to the pink dolphins.

BOTANICAL WALK: A walk to learn about the main trees and medicinal plants that exist in the Amazon, many of which have healing properties and others with certain mystical qualities. Our guide will explain each one of them.

WILDLIFE SIGHTING: Along the way, we may observe a greater diversity of wildlife such as macaws, paucares, kingfishers, and other bird species within the reserve.

- AMAZONIAN STORIES: At night, we will hear tales about Amazonian myths, stories, and legends. These stories are an integral part of the local Loreto identity, including tales such as Yacuruna, Sachamama, and Chullachaqui. -Overnight stay in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.

-Breakfast. -CHAMBIRA CAMP: After breakfast, we will prepare to move to another camp deeper into the jungle to spend the day.

-Lunch. -YANAYACU RIVER NAVIGATION: We will board the “peque peque” boat to navigate the Yanayacu River. This remote place within the jungle harbors an astonishing biodiversity, with lush forests, winding rivers, and a variety of unique wildlife.

PIRANHA FISHING: We will prepare for an artisanal fishing tour, where the guide will teach us local fishing techniques used by jungle inhabitants for subsistence. (We may taste the fish we catch).

MONKEY WATCHING: We will observe different species of monkeys in their habitat as we immerse ourselves in this beautiful landscape within the reserve.

NIGHT NAVIGATION: We will sail on the Pucate River, heading out in a canoe to search for caimans for observation and learn about their lifestyle and key role in nature. We will also spot fireflies and enjoy the nocturnal sounds of the Amazon jungle.
