Is it your first time in Bucharest? You only have a little time to spend here? This is a private tour of the main sites of the city, you will be accompanied by an experienced guide that will have as his priority, not just to teach you a little bit about the city, but also to keep you entertained. That guide is me :) As this is a private tour, you can customize your experience, so, if you have any special requests, things that you are particularly interested to learn about or see, you can let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Right in front of Ristorante Monza, a restaurant which is adjacent to the National Library, on the water front.
The tour ends at the University Square, in the Old Town.
Our journey will begin in front of the National Library, where you will hear the legend of the city's founder and see the rock upon which he built the first church, more than 600 years ago. This is an outside visit.
We will then take a 10 minute stroll alongside the main river of Bucharest on a beautiful promenade and the most chic place in town. That will take us directly to the Bucharest Fountains where we will have a stunning view of the Parliament building and hear its story. We will not go next to the building, or enter.
Our path will then take us to the Old Town where you will hear a short history of Romania and see the Royal Court Church. I will also tell you about our delicious cuisine while visiting the oldest restaurant in the city. We will walk down the most popular tourist street and learn it's history plus much more.
We will visit one of the most beautiful churches in the city and hear the stories of the moving churches.
We will see the old National Bank of Romania, where you will find out about a heist that took place in the communist era and learn a bit about our money. This is an outside visit.
