At around 4:30 am, your guide will collect you for the journey to Abu Simbel (shared small group). By 8:00 am, you’ll arrive at one of Egypt’s most remarkable treasures – the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel, built by King Ramesses II for himself and his beloved Queen Nefertari. Their unique design and immense scale make them a true wonder of the ancient world. Return to your cruise by midday to enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on board, before setting sail towards the charming city of Kom Ombo, where more adventures await.
Arrive in Kom Ombo, where you will explore the extraordinary dual temple dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god of fertility and creator of the world, and Horus the Elder, the falcon-headed god of the sky. This unique riverside temple is perfectly symmetrical, with twin entrances, halls, and sanctuaries honouring both gods. After breakfast, enjoy a charming horse-drawn carriage ride with your guide to the impressive Temple of Horus at Edfu. After your visit, return to the cruise for a delicious dinner on board, followed by an enchanting belly-dancing show. Spend the night moored in Luxor.
