Morning Airport/Hotel Pickup: Start your adventure with a warm welcome as we transport you comfortably to begin your Amazon journey. Visit Nanay Market: Explore this bustling local market, where you’ll find Amazonian ingredients, exotic fruits, and a glimpse into the daily life of the locals. Wildlife Viewing Excursion in Boat: Cruise through the Amazon River’s calm waters, spotting pink river dolphins, vibrant birds, and other fascinating wildlife in their natural habitat. Visit to Monkey Island: Visit rescued monkeys in a safe and ethical environment, learning about their rehabilitation and the efforts to protect their species.
AFTERNOON We will then continue to our remote campsite at the Yanayacu tributary, where we’ll settle in for an immersive jungle camping experience. In the afternoon, enjoy a fishing excursion to learn traditional techniques used by local communities to sustainably catch species like piranha and catfish. Later, back at the campsite, we’ll quietly observe the tributary in search of the iconic pink river dolphins, appreciating their natural behavior in this serene environment.
Night As night descends, we’ll venture on an exciting nocturnal nature hike to observe the Amazon’s vibrant ecosystem, where creatures like lizards, snakes, spiders, and other nocturnal wildlife come to life. Rest overnight at our remote jungle campsite, surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.
Morning At dawn, we’ll embark on a jungle hike to quietly observe the rich biodiversity of the Amazon, including various bird species and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Along the way, we’ll explore the fascinating world of Amazonian plants, discovering their traditional uses and cultural significance.
AFTERNOON On our journey back to Iquitos, we’ll stop to visit a local indigenous community, gaining insight into their rich history, customs, and traditions in a respectful and engaging way. Along the way, we’ll also admire the majestic Victoria Regia, the world’s largest freshwater aquatic plant, in its natural habitat. The tour concludes with a transfer to your hotel or the airport.
