We start with an amazing boat trip along the waters of Kotor Bay, enabling our guests to explore its magnificent coastline, which is adorned with multiple ancient fishermen villages, lavishing vegetation, and other natural and architectural wonders.
First stop, a 30-minute visit to the legendary island Our Lady of the Rocks. This is a man-made islet, built upon a crag that bore the icon of the Holy Mother Mary, and it houses a church that's been built by seafarers and other locals to honor the graceful Mother Mary. It is a place where visitors can listen to the mystical story about the island's genesis, as well as examine the many paintings, votives, and other art pieces inside the museum, attached to the church.
After we pass through the strait of Verige, we enter Tivat Bay and on the far left, we will see its rich marina - Porto Montenegro, brimming with yachts and ships of all sizes. On our way, we are stopping at the ex-submarine military base which description we’ll leave up to you.
After passing through Tivat Bay, we reach Herceg Novi Bay. On that way, we will pass by the Portonovi resort, Herceg Novi town, which is the westernmost city of Montenegro, then we will go out to the open sea and move towards the Blue cave.
The very exit of the Bay of Kotor is guarded by the haunting Mamula, a fortified island that's full of gruesome stories from past events like World War I & II.
The whole adventure gets wrapped up with a nice dip inside the Blue Cave, a natural phenomenon that's been created by waves crashing for thousands of years at the Lustice peninsula. The name derives from the whole ambiance, created by iridescent lightning that manifests itself on the water due to the Sun's radiance through small cave cracks.
When all stops are completed, the return to Kotor old town (pick-up location) takes 90 minutes. On the way back, we will see the hidden tunnels for submarines from the 1950s.
