Ngare Ndare forest is a lush indigenous forest at the northern foothills of Mt. Kenya. Azure pools glisten at the bottom of waterfalls and 200 years old trees stretch into the canopy supporting a rich variety of bird and animal life. The forest is a vital corridor that links the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and Northern Kenya to Mount Kenya forest reserve, and one which elephants have been using for centuries.
A fascinating phenomenon called the Coriolis effect makes water behave strangely depending on which part of the equator you are. It's great to test out this effect as well as purchase a few local artifacts.
