2Gardens of Versailles
After your palace visit, step into the magnificent Gardens of Versailles, a masterpiece of French landscape design. Explore at your own pace on a self-guided walk among grand fountains, elegant statues, and perfectly aligned avenues framed by lush greenery. Take time to soak in the serene beauty and uncover the hidden corners of these vast grounds. For an even deeper experience, continue your self-guided exploration to the Grand and Petit Trianon, along with Marie Antoinette’s enchanting hamlet. These intimate retreats reveal a more personal side of royal life, away from the grandeur of the main palace. (If you choose the Gardens and Trianon access option, your visit includes a 1.5-hour guided tour of the palace, followed by self-guided access to the gardens and Marie Antoinette’s estate (Trianon), for a total experience of approximately 3.5 hours.) Please be aware that the itinerary is only an example and may vary.

- From Paris, take the train to Versailles and purchase a Metro-Train-RER ticket. Plan your route in advance; the journey takes about 1 hour.
- During peak season, the palace may be crowded, and short waits at the group entrance are possible due to safety controls.
- The palace gardens are free from November to March, with no tickets required. No fountain shows operate during this period.
- The gardens close at 5:30 PM from October 26–31 and from November to March.
- Visitors typically receive their final tickets or vouchers by email 3 to 5 days prior to the tour date.
