It’s the special season the country shrugs off the winter chill, and adorn again in fresh, stunning colors. Our tour will begin by visiting Mt. Seorak, the highest mountain in Taebaek mountain range well-known for its majestic scenery. As we venture through its lyrical valleys and clear water fountains between snow-topped rocky peaks, we’ll be met by myriads of flowers bursting into pure loveliness.

In Gapyeong county, we’ll visit series of natural and amusement parks including Nami Island. Let’s go cycle or walk through the popular film locations, flanked by pristine rows of trees, forming delicate archways ablaze with color.

    Yeouido Park

    Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Seoul at 09:00AM. The first destination is Yeouido park: Cherry blossom festival(7 – 14 Apr). Yeouido Park is a beautiful park located in Yeoido Island on Han river. The island is the main finance and investment banking district of Seoul, but its character changes in spring. Fluffy pink flowers can be seen everywhere in the island, and the trees shed their delicate petals every time the wind blows. This island is considered as the top place for Seoulites when enjoying the cherry blossoms in spring, with 1,886 Korean cherry trees.

    Gyeongbokgung Palace

    We will first visit a Hanbok Rental shop to try the Korean traditional dress(Optional). You can stroll inside Gyeongbukgung palace wearing Hanbok! Wearing the dress will leave you both a special memory and dreamy pictures! Situated at the top of Gwanghwamun Square, the presence of Gyeongbukgung palace gleams brightly in the central spine of the nation. As the first and largest palace built by Joseon Dynasty in 1395, this grand villa consisted of 330 buildings and had up to 3,000 staffs. Before entering to explore the palace, we will watch the changing ceremony of royal guards. This enactment is an excellent opportunity to experience a rare tradition, performed exactly as it used to be held. Guards appear wearing royal uniforms, carrying traditional weapons and playing traditional instruments.

    Insadong is a district well-known for hosting generations-old antique and traditional craft stores of all kinds, ranging from ceramics, caligraphy, and theater masks to embroidery. The hidden joy of this wide art street is enjoying a cup of traditional jujube tea in an old cafe secluded in small streets! Visit Ssamziegil Plaza to be amused by all kinds of creative home-goods and decorative-pieces.

    Jogyesa Temple

    As the head temple of Korea’s Buddhism, Jogyesa Temple plays important roles, despite its small size being in the city center. Many Buddhist lectures, events, and rituals take place all year long. Its garden is renowned for its outstandingly flamboyant themes, changing the outlook every season. The grandiose annual lantern festival in celebration of Buddha’s birth takes place here.

    Kwangjang Market

    Gwangjang Market was the first permanent market in Korea and continues to thrive as a popular tourist destination today, popularized by a recent Netflix show. The second floor of the market is filled with silk, satin, and linen bed-sheet stores, which are the largest and most famous in Seoul. The highlight of this market is, however, discovering the animated street food stalls! We will go sampling some of the best Korean street foods here. The specialties in this market are octopus tartar and mung-bean pancakes. You will also be introduced to eccentric Korean foods such as steamed pork feet, blood sausage, and spicy chicken feet.

    N Seoul Tower

    Take in the breathtaking 360-degree view of the Seoul Metropolis! The top of the tower is at almost 480m above sea level, including Namsan Mountain(243m) and the tower’s own height(236.7m). The tower was first established as a broadcast tower to send out TV and radio signals in 1969. As of now, it has become one of the representative landmarks and multi-cultural venues in Seoul. At the tower, you can check out other highlights including the famous 'Locks of Love' and ancient beacon mounds.

    Myeongdong Shopping Street

    Myeong-dong is one of the primary shopping districts in Seoul. Many brand name shops and department stores line the streets and alleys. Common products for sale include clothes, shoes, cosmetics and accessories. Unlike Namdaemun or Dongdaemun, many designer brands are sold in Myeong-dong. The streets are filled with abundance of street food vendors. Enjoy your evening in this town, which seems to have forgotten the night. You will have local food for dinner. Your guide will take you to a local restaurant. After the end of the day, you will be dropped off at your hotel.

    Petite France

    Hotel pickup at 07:30 by our tour guide, and head to Gapyeong(2 hours). This is a French cultural village set in the Korean countryside! It consists of 16 French-style buildings where visitors can lodge and experience French food, clothing, and household culture. Pose with statues of characters from Le Petit Prince for whimsy pictures, find the film locations of popular Korean Dramas such as My Love From the Stars and Beethoven Virus.

    Nami Island

    Famous for its beautiful tree lined roads, many Korean dramas such as Winter Sonata were filmed at this location. The island is an adorable spot for not only savoring the nature, but also to be amused by the installations and creative playgrounds put up by the artists who reside in the island. Animals such as deer, rabbit, and ostrich can be spotted during your walk. You will have lunch with Chicken BBQ- The best restaurant in the area.

    Gangchon Rail Park

    You can choose between riding Gangchon Rail Bike or a visit to Alpaka land. Deserted railroads gone out of operation were transformed to present its visitors a unique bike ride experience through the scenic hills and themed caves. Up to 4 people can pedal a single vehicle together, which can speed up to 15 km/h. A different option is a visit to the Alpaca land. It is green forest in Hongcheon and where you can meet unique animals from the wild.

    You will drive to Sokcho City for 2-hours. Upon arrival, you will head to a restaurant for dinner. Checking-in in a hotel in Sokcho.

    Day 3: Sokcho - Mt. Seorak - Seoul

    Hotel Pick-up at 09:30 AM, and drive to Mt. Seorak national park. As the sunlight seep through the morning mist, the entire valley of Mt. Seoraksan shine in sheer freshness. We will venture out together in magical valleys and taste Oseak, the region's famous mineral water. This widely beloved, 1,700 meters tall mountain owns such stunning views, mesmerizing waterfalls, and famous hot springs. There are several hiking courses varying in distance and duration, and we will take a route of your preference. Easier trails are also prepared. A visit to Shinheungsa Temple, the oldest Zen-Buddhist temple in the world will be made. The trail to the temple starts from a giant iron Buddha statue known as Tongil Daebul. This masterful statue was erected in the 1990's to symbolize the Korean people's hope for the reunification of North and South Korea. The almost-smiling Buddha adds a sense of serenity and spirituality to the park. Then we can also take a cable car to climb up Gwongeumseong Fortress. It is the site of a castle ruins located on Mt. Seoraksan. By taking Gwongeumseong cable car, you can climb up to the top of the mountain range, and see the fascinating rock formations. On a day with a clear view, your sight can reach as far east to look over the ocean by Sokcho city. After our adventure in the mountain is over, you will have a local food lunch with Chicken Soup or Korean BBQ.

    Daepo Port

    Exiting Mt. Seorak and drive into downtown Sokcho, we will stop at Daepo port. You can find freshly caught seafood at a good price without the circulation expense. Steamed king crabs and filleted raw fish(Hoe) are the menus most commonly sought after. The port is filled with raw fish restaurants and a live fish market containing eel, flatfish, flounder, yellowtail, and plethora of other high-end seafood. You can find freshly caught seafood at a good price without the circulation expense. From here the drive to Seoul will take 2hrs 30min.

    Dongdaemun Market

    Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) has a meaning of Dream, Design, and Play. This futuristic architecture holds various exhibitions and fashion shows. The larger area surrounding it are regarded as the fashion district of Seoul. It is where the first generations of Korean fashion designers and clothing brands carried on their dreams. The area is always booming with people negotiating prices of fashion items in small independent stalls. Countless independent fashion stalls are found in the whole floors of nearby buildings. A dinner with local food will be arranged at this place. After the day's activities, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Seoul.
