Ride your horse around the San Rafael dam up into the high Andes mountains of La Calera. Enjoy a fun ride with spectacular views and lush forest vegetation. The horse trail goes along dirt roads and cobblestone pathways up into the mountains through a majestic Andean forest. Amazing scenery awaits!
Note: Everyone joining this tour must wear a helmet and keep it on at ALL times. Failure to wear a helmet is a safety violation and will cause the cancellation of the tour without refunds.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Please contact customer service if your pickup location is not listed before booking it. We can wait a maximum of 15 minutes pass the schedule pick-up time. Drop-off is at the same location. Late arrivals and no shows forfeit their payment.
If you decline pick-up you can meet us the Bogotá Marriott hotel or Parque 93. Details of the exact location and meeting time will be send to you upon booking.
What to expect
- Drive up through the Eastern Mountains to La Calera (1.5 hours)
- Meet your local guide and set up for the ride (10 min)
- Horseback riding through scenic mountain trails (1.5 hours for beginner ride and 3 hours for experienced ride)
- Try out a home made sugarcane tea (10 min)
- Drive back to Bogotá (1.5 hours)
Please note:
- This is a group activity and you MAY be joined by other travelers at any point during the tour. Everyone joining this tour MUST wear a helmet and keep it on at all times. Failure to wear a helmet is a safety violation and will cause the cancellation of the tour without refunds. This tour does NOT include time for lunch. Last minute bookings (within 24 hours of departure) may be offered in Spanish only.
