Our tour kicks off at 9 AM with a visit to the continent's oldest mosque, the Mosque of Amr ibn al-As, followed by a tour of the largest mosque in Egypt, the Ibn Tulun Mosque, renowned for its distinctive minarets. Close by, explore the Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa, considered a masterpiece of Islamic architecture, comparable in its era to the Great Pyramid in antiquity. Just opposite, we visit the Rifai Mosque, which houses the royal tombs of the Mohamed Ali Dynasty.
Next, we delve into the Muhammad Ali Mosque, located within the historic Citadel of Salah El-Din, recognized as the third largest mosque in Egypt and one of the most lavishly decorated. Lunch will be included at a nearby Egyptian restaurant.
In the afternoon, our journey continues along El-Moez Street, famous for its array of diverse mosques and rich history, providing a deep dive into the Islamic era. This thorough exploration offers insights into Islamic rituals, prayer practices, and architectural splendor.
