    Pick up at Nairobi and Transfer to Masai Mara

    Masai Mara National Reserve

    Upon early arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Kenya guide or meet with him at a hotel after breakfast. You will be enlightened about your entire trip and later, begin your road trip to Maasai Mara National Reserve located in Narok County, Southwestern Kenya. It will be 5-6 hours’ drive, but comes with en-route spectacular views of the rift valley area and so much more. Arrive early enough and have short a game viewing around your safari camp/lodge, and get inspired by the breathtaking beauty of Maasai Mara. Later, settle for a leisurely dinner and a night stay.

    Full Day Masai Mara Game Drive

    Masai Mara National Reserve

    With a pack of lunch, you will set off from your camp/lodge for a full day game viewing experience in the sweeping savannas of Maasai Mara National Reserve. Your search today includes the big five –elephants, cape buffaloes, lions, leopards, rhinos, and combined with watching the wildebeest migration. You will enjoy lunch in the middle of the savannas and proceed with afternoon game viewing then return for dinner and overnight stay at your respective camps/lodges.

    Second Day Game Viewing

    Masai Mara National Reserve

    After breakfast, you will again embark on a special game drive through Maasai Mara to look for more wildlife and witness the wildebeest migration. Today’s sightings will include buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and variety of antelope families plus birds. In the afternoon, there will be a chance to visit the Maasai community for a memorable cultural experience, get to know how the Maasai people live, and you will be entertained by their unique cultural and traditional dances.

    Fly from Masai Mara to Entebbe

    Depart from your camp/lodge and you will catch up with a flight from Maasai Mara to Entebbe Airport. At Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transfer to the hotel or first proceed to the botanical gardens for a guided walk as you explore different plants and also sight some of the amazing birds.

    Transfer to Bwindi to see Gorillas

    Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Be prepared for your gorilla adventure and today, you will have a long day driving to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. From Entebbe city, expect to take 8-9 hours driving and en route, you will stop at the Equator for photography and lunch at Igongo cultural centre. Continue to Bwindi, 331sq.km protected area and lush UNESCO Site where over 459 mountain gorillas survive. Check in at your respective gorilla safari lodge for relaxation and a night stay awaiting your gorilla adventure the following day.

    Mountain Gorilla Trekking Bwindi

    Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Early in the morning, you should be awake and prepare for your memorable gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park. The trek often lasts for 2-6 hours and you should have good pair of waterproof hiking boots, long sleeved shirt, rain jacket, bottled water and snacks. The park ranger guides will be accompanying you on a search for gorilla families assigned to you and upon locating your group, you will have one hour for a close encounter. Retreat after taking photos and observing how mountain gorillas behave, have a relaxed afternoon and later, you will proceed to the Batwa community for cultural entertainment and exploring about how they lived in the forest, their traditions and cultures.

    Departure

    Entebbe

    Depart back to Kampala/Entebbe in the morning and a delicious lunch will be offered at Igongo and have another session of photography at the Equator. After, continue straight to Kampala/Entebbe via Masaka and this brings to an end the 7 day tour.
