    Depart to see Chimpanzees in the Wild

    Kibale National Park

    The driver guide in Uganda will pick you up from your respective hotels in Entebbe and you drive to Kibale National Park via Fort Portal city. The 5-6 hours’ drive comes with scenic views of the tea farms, crater lakes and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains.

    Chimpanzee Trekking

    Kibale National Park

    Enjoy breakfast and join the rest of the guests on briefing about guidelines for chimpanzee tracking. You will be led by Kibale park guide to search for chimpanzees, an adventure likely to go for 2-4 hours and includes a close interaction with these primates for one hour. As you walk through Kibale Forest, diversity of other primates will be spotted in the wild plus birds. In the afternoon when you get back and have lunch, you will be visiting Bigodi Wetland. More primates will be encountered while at Bigodi Wetland including colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, baboons, and birds like the Great blue turacos.

    Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth Park Uganda’s 2nd largest park. Your trip comes with scenic view of crater lakes, banana plantations and majestic Mt. Rwenzori. Arrive at the lodge early for lunch and relaxation till afternoon when you will go boat cruise on Kazinga channel. This comes with excellent view of aquatic life such as hippos, crocodiles and birds like skimmers, pelicans, fish eagles and others.

    Game Drive and Launch Cruise

    Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Have breakfast, you will go and enjoy a memorable guided game drive via Kasenyi Plains. A variety of small and large mammals including elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, leopards, lions, and antelope families as well as bird species. After game viewing via Kasenyi plains, lunch will follow and in the afternoon, you will embark on a guided launch cruise. The Kazinga channel launch trip lets you to view mainly aquatic species: hippos, crocodiles and birds like pelicans, skimmers, fish eagles, kingfishers, and others.

    Drive to Bwindi National Park

    Pick up early in the morning and after, you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Before you leave Queen Elizabeth NP, you will have a short game drive at Ishasha sector a popular area to find the tree climbing lions.

    Gorilla Trekking

    Today is a special day and you should be fully prepared for your remarkable gorilla trekking. The gorilla trek in Bwindi starts at 8:00 am and the park guides are assigned a group of 8 visitors to lead through the forest in search for mountain gorillas. The trek with Bwindi gorillas may go for 2-6 hours and includes one hour for you to stay in the presence of mountain gorillas, take pictures while also observing how they behave.

    Cross to Musanze Rwanda

    Enjoy breakfast and you will be picked up at the lodge in Bwindi N/Park. Set off in a 4×4 vehicle and drive via Kabale town to Katuna border where you will connect to the lodge in or around Volcanoes National Park.

    Gorilla Trekking

    A hefty breakfast, after you will get briefed about gorilla trekking rules and gorilla families will be allocated to each group of 8 visitors. The time to be spent trekking the gorillas takes about 2-6 hours but this may depend on the visitors speed. Once families are assigned to visitors, you will begin searching for your family at 8:00am. You enjoy a face-to-face encounter with gorillas while in their natural habitat, and this will be during one hour. When you return, you will have good time at the lodge and later go for a cultural visit to Iby’Iwacu cultural village.

    Golden Monkey Trekking

    Breakfast early morning and you will report at Kinigi for briefing about rules for golden monkey trekking. The trek goes for 2-4 hours of navigating via the bamboo forest with a guarantee of one hour while in the presence of golden monkeys

    Visit of Nyungwe

    Nyungwe National Park - Rwanda

    Leave the Northern region Nyungwe Forest NP in the Southern province; enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Kivu. This park is rich in faunal and floral species, accounting for 13 different primate species-mangabeys, silver monkeys, red tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys and 310 species of birds.

    Over 400 colobus monkeys live in Nyungwe Forest National Park and today, you will be visiting habituated groups. The park guide will be present to take you on a trek to see colobus monkeys 2-4 hours. When you return, you will be served lunch and return to the forest on a canopy walk taking you on a suspended walkway 60m.
