On the first day, you’ll depart from Reykjavík and drive along Route 1, passing charming small towns and soaking in the stunning Icelandic countryside. Along the way, you’ll pass the famous town of Hveragerði, known for its greenhouses and the geothermal “Hot River” in Reykjadalur, nestled in a rift valley between the Eurasian and North American continental plates.
The tour passes through Selfoss, the largest town and capital of South Iceland. You’ll see this lively hub as you continue your journey along the route.
